Sometimes We Pee A Little
Sneeze, jump, or laugh without a care! Laser Gynecology treatment for bladder leaks, also known as Stress Urinary Incontinence or SUI, helps you get back to enjoying life and not worry about bladder leaks.
If you're one of the 1-in-4 women who experience bladder leaks, you’re experiencing a totally normal (and totally inconvenient) part of being a human! Bladder leakage is something women experience and it’s nothing to be ashamed of.
Let’s Talk Bladder Leaks
Simply put, stress urinary incontinence is a lack of bladder control under pressure (sneezing, coughing, laughing, playing)—from a light, small leak to a sudden onset of fluid that you can't hold in. The cause? There can be a few factors—pregnancy, childbirth, menopause—all these life events can be causes of stress urinary incontinence. The good news? It’s treatable.
Treatment
Treatment for SUI bladder leaks are performed using a Er:YAG laser therapy. The laser energy is used to stimulate new collagen production, in turn strengthening the pelvic floor and alleviating the SUI bladder leakage. At Nu Image, Laser Gynecology treatment plans are developed by Dr. James Bastian, a physician with a specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics. Typically, three treatment sessions are recommended to alleviate bladder leakage symptoms with ongoing sessions as needed.
No special preparation or post-treatment precautions are necessary. After the treatment you can leave and carry on with your daily routine with minimal restrictions.
This Laser Gynecology treatment takes just 30 minutes to perform.
Cells begin producing new collagen within three weeks. This growth continues for six to eight months.
There are no needles, no surgery, no medication, and no down-time.
